The 1,200 entries are careful not to tread on Choo-clad fashion toes. We learn that Anna Wintour is "renowned for her... cool composure", but not that she is known as "Nuclear Wintour". Despite this energetic diplomacy, several big names (McCartney, Louboutin, Moss) are omitted. The impressive scope enables readers to follow the ceaseless circularity of fashion.
